Deriving a Customized Set of Building Styles
Rather than individually saving each custom building style into multiple iBuildingConfig files, utilize the Edit Style List command to save all styles into a single iBuildingConfig file.
- In the Custom Style panel, click the Edit Style List icon to open the Style List window.
- Choose the style you want to customize from the list, then click the Duplicate icon to create a copy of your selected style.
- Choose your newly created building style and tailor its selections to your preferences.
- Click the Build button to create a building using the currently selected style settings.
- To craft additional building styles, choose another style you want to customize in the Style List and repeat the same process (Steps 2-7) until you are satisfied.
- Upon finishing the customization process, click the Save Blueprint button to save all the building styles into a new iBuildingConfig file.
- Once you save the new iBuildingConfig, the building style list in the New Building panel will be updated automatically.
The duplicated style will appear at the bottom of the list.
Double-click on the label (“New Style”) to rename it.
Close the Style List dialog box and expand the Style Name dropdown menu. Here, you will notice that the style list has been updated.
